Rokka's idea of one of the seven heroes being fake sounded cool, but it looks like it may take some time before I see how well it's executed. I love that I'm watching it without feeling bad about it! Maybe I've chosen my ecchi anime poorly in the past, because Monster Musume's idea is "sex is fun, let's go crazy with this concept", and it works. The ones I've tried either pretend that ecchi is some added spice to a more substantial main story (when in fact, it's the reverse and both parts of the anime suffer), or they indulge in some fetish or contrivance that makes me feel creepy and uncomfortable. Nagisa is a hard-line sort of guy who clearly isn't the jerk the class thinks he is, and I find myself smiling whenever he opens his mouth. The characters have done just enough to differentiate themselves clearly without becoming caricatures (they need to expand more, and I hope the anime allows them time to do so). There's a really nice dynamic between the students and teacher of A-TEC. I can envision the fun police steadily sapping the individuality from Yu in the pursuit of righteousness over the course of the series. The first half of the episode delighted in the main character's jerkish nature, but then the second half introduced the fun police and a little sister who doesn't act like a person at all. Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls - 2/?Ĭharlotte has me worried. I was kind of iffy about this season's new anime from their descriptions, but to my surprise I picked up quite a few: Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai - 2/12 Kuusen Madoushi Kouhosei no Kyoukan - 2/12 Been a while, but I've watched too much new anime to make it all bolded, so it's all current as of now.
